The Video to Form one’s single “Money” (which we have written about earlier) is now out, it premiered on MTV this past wekeend and is now up on youtube. The video was shot in an old warehouse that is now demolished and is produced and directed by Tobias Martinson and Marcus Bergman.
The forthcomming album, entitled “Behind Blue Eyes”, will drop later this year through DLX Entertainment.
The release of Chords higly anticipated sophomore album “Things we do for things” is getting closer and judging by the focus on him right now I’m guessing I’m not the only one looking forward to it! Last Tuesday P3 Hiphop played an exclusive track called “Stay Hungry” (those of you who has complained that he’s not”hiphop”-enough should get your hunger stilled by this track).
And last night MTV Beat had a Chords special with interviews (in swedish only), videos and some more live-clips from the “Scandinavian Invasion”-show held in Paris a couple of weeks ago. In the interview he says that the new album will feature more singing, on choruses as well as whole verses. Musically this album is somewhere between his last album and the albums he’s done as helt off.
The live clips featured 2 songs from the upcomming album, “Appetite for consumption” and “Places to Go”, both tracks sounds very promising and judging from what I’ve heard from this album this far It’s a classic! “Places to Go” is already a favourite and I’m keeping the video on repeat, when the album drops this track will definitely be on heavy rotation in my stereo!
The duo Afasi & Filthy has released a new single from their debut album “Fläcken” which will be released April the 9th through “P.O.P.E Records”. You can listen to the single “Jobb” at www.rodeo.net/radiorodeo/
If you have missed their first single “Glider” you can watch the video here.
“Put your hands down, you ain’t ready for the riot!”
I read about this track a while ago, but the article just said that they’re going to make a remix and not when they would release it. I still don’t know if it’s officially released but i found this on the internet so i though why not put it up. The original is dope but the remix is smoking! Everyone does a great job and ADL shows why he’s still one of swedens greatest MC’s and it was a long time i heard Timbuktu rap like this in english!
Update 2008-03-25: According to P.O.P.E records this version is in fact an unfinished version that has leaked, it’s not mastered and the mixing is incomplete. Since this track already been widely spread I’m going to keep it on the site but you should be aware that this do not represent how the finished version will sound. Hopefully the real version will be released soon!
Ken Ring is back with a new video from his album “Äntligen Hemma” which was released last year. The album was well recieved by critics as well as the audience and it gained a lot of attention when he released 3 remixes of the track “Ta det lugnt”. Now he’s back with a new video to the track “Låter för barnen”. Words can’t really describe the feeling of this track but he says this about it on his blog:
”We’re all people on the same earth.
Fuck money, politics, weapons, the government and all that we live for.
The children are the ones we have to save.
Let us at least try.”
If you want to read the whole text just go to his blog (swedish only).
The video, directed by Kamisol, for Chords new single “Luckiest Man Alive” (which we wrote about earlier) is now out! The track is produced by Robin Asplund and Co-produced by Chords.

Erik L is one of the half of the music production team “Flyphonic” which is most famous for being the production team behind / a part of Supersci. They have also worked with many other within the swedish hip hop scene like Organism 12, Ison & Fille, Blackfist, Chords and Fattaru but also with artists such as Kissey Asplund and Stray.
Last june they gave out their 5 track EP “Mosaic Tiles EP” that received great reviews and which was one of my personally favourite releases last year. Anyways, Erik L has now released an EP called “Loose Control” with features Detroit CYDI & Stryfe, Stray (if you haven’t checked out his album yet, you’ve missed one of this years most interesting albums!), Kissey Asplund and Rep Life.
